In this brief Scattered Moment, Matt Tullos shares an original poem celebrating the sovereignty of God over every fear, every question, and every unseen tomorrow. When the world feels uncertain and our own plans seem fragile, we're reminded that God's purposes stand, His promises endure, and His hands never let go.

Take a few quiet moments to lift your eyes from your circumstances to the King who commands eternity.

Scripture: Isaiah 46:9–10

You know, there are moments when headlines are louder than hope, when uncertainty seems to have the final word, when our plans unravel, prayers seem delayed, and we begin to wonder whether anyone is really holding the story together. But Scripture reminds us that above every kingdom, above every crisis that we'll ever face, every fear, every unanswered question, there sits a king who has never been surprised. And today's scattered moments is a simple reminder, a reminder that God's sovereignty is not a cold fate. It is a steady hand of a loving father. He's far beyond imagination, by heights and depths of all creation, by his word the villains fall. He's far above creation's all. His reign is perfect, his words are true. He's the Lord of all I'm going through. The holy keeper of the key, the mystery grand, great, one in three. The plans he made will never fail. In everything he will prevail. Not in part but in the whole. The skeptics doubt the liar's scheme, yet still his truth, a cleansing stream. He speaks in every native tongue, the voice from which the stars were flung. Why do I doubt his plan for me? For he commands eternity. Let truth be told, he is my king, the air I breathe, the song I sing. Isaiah 46, 9 through 10 says, I am God and there is no other, declaring the end from the beginning, and from the ancient times things not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose. Today, take one fear you've been carrying, just one, and deliberately place it into God's hands. Not because you understand what he's doing, but because you can trust the one who does. And that's my word for you today. Until next time, I hope that you remember the sovereignty, grace, power, love, majesty of who God is, and that you'll notice these scattered moments and share the grace.
